Our 115ft ocean going Schooner Bintang is the biggest western built vessel in the Mentawai Surf Boat Fleet.

Yachts are owned and operated by Daryl Robinson and his two sons, Ashton and Carrick. All are keen surfers. Knowing where to find the best waves on a daily basis is their forte. Join us to surf the East Indian Ocean around the beautiful and remote Mentawai Islands. The Bintang may be chartered for US$ 300 per night.  US$ 1000 per person deposit is required with the booking to lock in the charter dates. The balance is due 3 months prior to the charter date.

Both yachts are spacious with ample on deck seating perfect for those breezy tropical nights, while sampling the local cuisine and feasting on freshly caught seafood after a hard days surfing.

All guests on Bintang  must have Medivac Insurance.

Simply ask your travel agent to book you to Singapore, then fly on Garuda, Tiger or Silk Air to Padang, Sumatra, or to Kuala Lumpur, then Malaysian Airlines or Air Asia for the short flight to Padang, Sumatra.

Please handle own bags and boards with trolly when picking up your gear off baggage conveyor.even if porters have Bintang  sign.
for mafia tactic’s will apply to get large payments from you for carrying your meager surf apparrel. if you need help negotiate US$2 to carry gear to bus and get a yes before porter picks your gear up.
